Tokyo Tower , tallest structure in Tokyo is 333 meters high.  Welknown sysmble of Tokyo and very popular sightseeing spot, but its original function is  a radio and television broadcasting antenna.

People can go up to observatory which is located at 223 meters and can enjoy wide view of Tokyo, when the weather is clear, you can see Mt. Fuji. And night time the illumination there is very beautiful. The light is on from sunset till midnight.The colour of the light changes according to seasons.

Starting from last weekend, Tower shows 'TOKYO' and '2016' in its sign during night time to express Tokyo's bid to host the 2016 Olympic game. (see the picture. it is not so clear though)

In 2011 another tokyo tower will be constructed. It is reported to become taller than current Tokyo Tower, 610meter high and will be named 'Sumida Tower'.

Plateful of fresh Uni 850yen, and plateful of fresh cuttlefish 450yen. Tastes very good. Those are not the price at fish market, but at the restaurant in downtown Tokyo, NAKAMEGURO （中目黒） rather fashionable and popular area to young people.

They are serving fresh seafood come from NEMURO (根室）　HOKKAIDO in very reasonable price. The restaurant is not so big, they do not have much seat.  In fact, we will eat and drink while standing. Let's say 'STANDING SEAFOOD RESTAURANT' I may say it is a bit difficult to go there and take order as a tourist, but the the taste is so sure.加油 , good luck to find the place !

(Ashiyu cafe - 40406.jpg ) Do you  know what is Ashiyu(足湯）　is?  Like foot spa, you just soak your feet in shallow hot spring. If your feet become warm, then your whole body may become warm , too. You can feel relax as same as you take Hot spring Onsen !

 And now a day, Ashiyu is expanding its field, not just as spa, it come with cafe, bar, restaurant etc… Like Ashiyu Cafe, Ashiyu Bar, Ashiyu Izakaya(居酒屋） etc…  Now they become very popular and a lot of people who need relaxation, rush to those places.

As you know, commuting in Tokyo is very convenient. JR, Subway, and other private railways are crisscross downtown Tokyo.

New service is called 'TOKYO TRANSFER GUIDE' , we can just touch the monitor to input from/to where going. The results will be printed out. How many transit is needed, how much , and how many minutes to take …

It is a bit cold today and windy , too. We have this word in Japan ‘HANABIE’(花冷え）. As in this Sakura season it is warm in daytime but still very cold in night time. The gap of temperature between daytime and nighttime is very big.

We like to enjoy Sakura in nighttime , too . Sakura in nighttime, we call ‘YOZAKURA’ (夜桜）. To Watch Yozakura, we have to wear enough avoid catching cold.
