Hyoko Lake(瓢湖）, famous bird watching spots especially in winter thousands of migrating birds from Siberia come to this small man-made lake to overwinter. This place if a heaven for several kinds of swans and wild ducks.
Daytime they are away from the lake to rice field nearby to find their food and fly back in evening.

The most croweded time is around 16:00, as it is the feeding time by the staff of management office.
They know very well!!

Hyoko Lake is located in Agano city(阿賀野市） , 15 Km of east from Niigata city.

We have unusually warm autumn in this year , here in Japan. And that caused the leaves on the tree take forever to chang their colour.

But finally starting from last week, after the strong wind blew all over Japan (some of you may know the heavy damage caused by tornado in Hokkaido) it was getting colder and colder everyday.

The photo was taken last week in Karuizawa, Nagano. It was so lovely the colour leaves everywhere in Karuizawa.

It will be the end of this month, when we can enjoy colour leaves in Tokyo.

Tokyo Tower , tallest structure in Tokyo is 333 meters high.  Welknown sysmble of Tokyo and very popular sightseeing spot, but its original function is  a radio and television broadcasting antenna.

People can go up to observatory which is located at 223 meters and can enjoy wide view of Tokyo, when the weather is clear, you can see Mt. Fuji. And night time the illumination there is very beautiful. The light is on from sunset till midnight.The colour of the light changes according to seasons.

Starting from last weekend, Tower shows 'TOKYO' and '2016' in its sign during night time to express Tokyo's bid to host the 2016 Olympic game. (see the picture. it is not so clear though)

In 2011 another tokyo tower will be constructed. It is reported to become taller than current Tokyo Tower, 610meter high and will be named 'Sumida Tower'.

It is very new! There are many tours to look around Tokyo, like taking bus, metro, JR or walking. But 'Tokyo Great Cycling Tour' is a new type of guided tour to go and see famous touristic spots, as Tsukiji Fish Market, Odaiba, Tokyo Tower, Imperial house etc… by bicycle. These spots theirselves are very fun to see, but the route to go there is another feature of this tour!  5000yen including rental bike, gloves, helmet, insurance and lunch.
